I was grateful that with how well I felt on Friday. I’m even more thankful that I feel much better today! I would say that I feel as good today as I did the day before I began chemotherapy, and I felt perfectly normal that day.
Mary and I went to Vittles restaurant for brunch. I ate a ham and cheese 3-egg omelet, biscuit and gravy, small portion of hashbrown casserole, and a slice of Mary’s French toast! I think my appetite is back! Not convinced? For dinner we grilled out and I ate an 8-oz. fillet Mignon, large sweet potatoe, Caesar salad, and Haagen Dasz strawberry ice cream (230 calories worth) for desert. Mmmm, mmmm good.
I the afternoon, Mary’s sister Terri came to visit. Mary, Mary Sr. (my Mom), Lois (Mary’s Mom), Teri, and I watched a movie, complete with popcorn that Mary popped. The movie was “Flywheel” which was written, directed, performed, edited by members of the Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia for about $20,000 in expenses. A great movie and a great story behind how it started in a single Carmike theater in Albany and grew by word of mouth to a worldwide audience. If you get a chance, check it out. Netflix has it.
Thank God for another beautiful day!
