I had been having difficulty swallowing for several weeks in November and early December. Thank goodness my swallowing is much better now. On November 24 I had a swallow study to find out the cause and what to do about it. The “prescription” was to double up on the mouth and throat exercises that I’ve been doing for 7 or 8 months. So I’ve been doing that for the past 3+ weeks and the exercises have helped tremendously.
I do still have dry mouth in the morning, but drinking a few large glasses of water resolves that. Breakfast must be something soft like hot oat meal cereal or scrambled eggs to make swallowing easier. By noon time, dry mouth is gone and swallowing is not an issue.
